The Gate Passage of winter is here.
Gate Passages are times of transition, when you go from one phase of your life to the next. Some Gate Passages are so unexpected and sweeping that they knock the wind right out of you. Others come regularly, like the seasons of the year.
Winter is the season of darkness. It's a natural time to turn inward, to rest and to be quiet.
This can also be challenging, especially if it's a time in which you feel cut off from others.
When you're going through a Gate Passage, one of the most healing balms is a community of people around you.
I've seen this over and over in the past nearly 20 years as a psychotherapist.
Gate Passage: Winter is a gathering during mid-winter.
How it works:
You'll gather each Thursday from 6:30-7:30 pm EST via Zoom, face-to-face.
During each call, you'll:
- Arrive in the present and anchor into your body.
- Share where you are in a small, welcoming community.
- Get support, and give it.
You'll gather outside of the weekly call through prompts, love notes, and discussion on a private online spot.
: : 4 weeks of gathering from February 5th to March 3rd.
: : 4 community calls each Thursday from 6:30-7:30 pm (EST). The dates are February 8th, 15th, 22nd and March 1st.
: : Love-notes, prompts and discussion with the community on a private spot.
I'm Maureen, your guide through Gate Passage: Winter.
In my 15+ years as a psychotherapist, I've helped hundreds of people through their gate passages. Many of them had no idea what to do or how to do it. Many of them had sudden losses and weren't sure if they'd be able to get through it. They did. As they did, they went from overwhelmed and lost to capable and grounded.
